Fellesutvalget utgjør den norske avdelingen av IAMFE (The International Association on Mechanization of Field Experiments).
IAMFE (The International Association on Mechanization of Field Experiments) is a non-profit organization founded in Norway in 1964. IAMFE has members and contacts in about 130 countries and branches in 10. Objectives of the organization are to inform agronomists, plant breeders and others working in seed and related industries about new machinery, equipment, instruments and other technologies for increasing the capacity, accuracy and application of experimental work.

IAMFE Egypt 2026
Den 17. internasjonale IAMFE konferansen arrangeres i Cairo, Egypt 20. 23. september 2026. Konferansen arrangeres sammen med den 38. utgaven av International Agricultural Exhibition for Africa and the Middle East (SAHARA Expo 2026). Konferansens tema blir "Developing Smart Seed Industry to Boost Global Food Production Capacity" og tar sikte på samle globale aktører innen mekanisering av feltforsøk, laboratorieutstyr, informasjonsteknologi og å løfte fram tekniske løsninger og samarbeid. Frist for å sende inn abstracts er 31. mars 2026 og påmeldingsfristen er 31. juli. Les mer.
Den 16. internasjonale IAMFE konferansen, IAMFE 2022, ble gjennomført digitalt og gikk av stabelen 8. - 9. november 2022
The themes of the conference are Smart Experimental Field and Smart Agriculture. The conference aims to become a platform for the exchange of scientific ideas, public consideration of ways of methodological and instrumental support of agro-biological field studies and smart agriculture, cooperation in the field methods of experimentation and technology. The meetings of scientists, scholars, engineers, plant breeders in agriculture and agricultural engineering, and joint discussions provide the synthesis of new ideas, the emergence of technical solutions, which meet the needs of users. All this will contribute to the progress in the production of agricultural and horticultural products and food security on a global scale.

IAMFE var 50 år i 2014. Det ble markert i form av seminar og en utstilling av forsøksteknisk utstyr under Borgeby Fältdagar i Sverige 25. - 26. juni 2014. Den offisielle jubileumsmarkeringen foregikk på NMBU på Ås fredag 27. juni med jubileumsseminar og en utstilling av gammelt og nytt forsøksteknisk utstyr!
